When Your Finances Affect Your Health

  If you ever find yourself saying that keeping up with all of your bills and finances is just killing you, then you could be closer to the truth than you think. People everywhere are suffering some terrible physical and emotional effects because of the stress related to their jobs and finances. In that ever consuming bid to keep up with the times or just to make ends meet, the workload we carry every week can become overwhelming.

It has been proven by medical research that stress can have a tremendous effect on our heart and minds as well. Heart attacks, nervous breakdowns, anxiety attacks, and depression can often be caused by the burden of our jobs and financial situations. We have to have the job to furnish the money and we have to manage the money to pay our bills and survive. When these things get out of balance some how or become too much for us, we can suffer terribly.

Exploring The Financial Plight Of The Elderly

  It is being said that one of the biggest shames in our country today is the deplorable condition that many of our elderly generation is being forced to live in. We are one of the richest countries in the world, yet so many of our grandmothers and grandfathers are forced to live on practically nothing each month. Choosing between paying their electric bill or food is real. Choosing between buying their necessary medicines and food is real. What are we doing to change this shameful situation?

The Social Security benefits that the majority of the elderly receive come no where near what it takes for a person to survive over the span of a month in this country. For some elderly who had some money saved for their retirement, it might be a little easier than for those who simply got too old and disabled to work and had nothing at all. A lot of these elderly folks either have no family to help care for them as was done in past times or their family simply abandons them to fend for themselves. How
